Cross Cult Comics are a German indie comic publisher who first pinged my radar at the 2014 Frankfurt Book Fair. They were on the schedule for an indie publisher feature but that has been postponed due to a staff change and so you won’t be learning more about their doings and goings and printings—for now. But we’ve still got a pretty sweet giveaway of two of their recent titles: Sorge dich nicht, beame by Andrea Bottlinger and Christian Humberg (authors of Geek Pray Love) and Gewalt, Götter, und Intrigen: Die Welt von Game of Thrones by Stefan Servos.
Let’s just not talk about that cover, ok?
Take note: There are two books in the hat to win. They are both in German. There will be two winners. Entrants can be anyone from anywhere, no restrictions, besides needing to enter, to provide a valid e-mail address, and to respond with a snail mail address if I write to tell you that you have won. (You would be amazed at how many people haven’t.)
Sorge dich nicht, beame, is a light-hearted guide to life via Star Trek fandom. If it is anything like Geek Pray Love it is funny, entertaining, and written in an easy-to-read style that even a German-langauge novice will be able to get into.
Gewalt, Götter, und Intrigen is for fans of Game of Thrones who want to get into a nitty-gritty analysis of George R.R.R.R.R. Martin’s fantasy series.
How to enter: Leave a comment on this post, telling us whether Game of Thrones or Star Trek would win in a cage match to the death and why (answers in German and in English accepted) and which of the two books you would prefer. For an extra entry, leave a comment on another post on Book Punks, and don’t forget to come back here and tell us about it and to use the same name when you comment.
Contest ends April 30th, at which point I will select a winner via random number generator and announce who gets the booty.
