Writers and publishers who want us to read their books
Thanks for thinking of us. We really want to read your book. But we probably won’t have time. Sorry in advance.
We read a lot of books, and have jobs and kids and friends and hobbies and a general need for sunlight, so forgive us now—we won’t get around to reading every book that you send us. At the end of the day we decide what to read and review and when based on how much it appeals to us, but we can try to keep publication dates in mind when timing our reading and reviewing.
Postage can get trickily expensive, but we love paper books so much that we plan on making a habit of displaying any sent to us every few months so that even if we don’t manage to read your work (sorry!), you’ll at least get that one mention.
Steps: 1. Make sure your book is relevant to this website. If you aren’t sure what the hell it is we do here, I recommend going here. 2. Figure out if one of us, specifically, might be interested in your book. 3. Send us a request via the contact form. If we don’t get back to you, say, in a year, then consider that a no.
Nikki will very happily take any post-apocalyptic lit, unless it has zombies. (Postage warning! She also lives in Germany. Which does mean she accepts books in English and German.) She is far more likely to accept science fiction than any other genre and is especially easily seduced by lit-sci fi crossovers. She prefers paper books, but occasionally accepts epubs. Read the about section if you want to know what kind of books frost her carrot cake. She does not currently accept unsolicited review requests of any kind.
Erika lives in the United States and doesn’t have an ereader of any kind, so send her your bundles of bound paper. Hell, send her an e-reader; maybe she will be converted. She does not currently accept unsolicited self-published books.
And remember: the contact form is right over here.
Publishers who would like to be featured
Six(ish) times a year we feature one independent/small/radical/feminist/fucking awesome publisher with a profile and a handful of reviews of their books. If you are interested in getting under our magnifying glass, then please send us a mail via the contact form with a link to your website and a little information about who you are and what you do and why you’d be a good match for Book Punks.
Writers who would like to write for Book Punks
We are not currently on the market for review writers. We do occasionally accept relevant guest posts, so send your ideas via the contact form.
