You guys, just look at them. I fell so hard for the artwork of these two painfully gorgeous books that I bought them even though they are written in a language I do not speak. *Swoons.*
First, the artwork of this gorgeous, enormously tall book fell into my hands. I was forced to choose between it and an equally gorgeous Baba Yaga story. But as Melodia en la cuidad had circus caravans that look a lot like my house, it won the race to my wallet.
Then, in the midst of fretting about how much it would cost to buy every single one of Edelvives drool-worthy books, I discovered this. Holy shit. Every page is cut in incredibly detail, layer upon layer the story reveals itself…
Edelvives makes some gorgeous books. Now somebody translate them into English already so I can read the stories and ogle the pictures. Looks like Fernando Pessoa is no longer the main reason I’d like to learn Portuguese.
